I've had the same when a motorbike has pulled up in just the wrong place

I also had it go off by a straggling central hedge once when I pulled up in the outside lane at lights

It's a shame we can't turn off the front sensors as they do go off unnecessarily. They should also turn off when you are stationary as they are only needed when you are actually moving
Let's be careful out there !

Are you sure?  Earlier cars have a physical  switch to turn the whole system on and off  - Its low down on the dashboard to the right of the steering  (or to the left in LHD. )  I found them a bit intrusive in my 2021 car so switched  the system off. Reversing camera sufficed .IIRC before I switched them off they would sometimes activate while I was stopped  in traffic if a pedestrian crossed the road close in front of the car.

On later cars there is no physical switch but you can turn the whole system   on and off in  touch screen settings . And I think there is a separate way to  switch off just the rear ones.  . Front sensors did activate when I stopped a bit closer to the  car in front than I normally do( to clear  a box junction)  They stayed on until we moved again.  I havnt yet felt the need to switch them off.

I will fix that dripping tap.  No need to keep reminding me every 3 months.

That's why I specified the front sensors only

Yes I know I can turn the whole lot off and have done a few times
Let's be careful out there !

Sorry  :-[     I suppose having a reversing camera I dont see the need to keep rear sensors on. Although some find their camera aim gives a deceptive view.

I’ve got a Noco GB40 Jump Starter pack I purchased from Halfords when on offer

I’ve never had to use it and hopefully that continues with the Jazz

Typically the GB40 is now even better value via Amazon Black Friday deal @ just £79.99.  That’s a great saving for anyone looking for one!

So I’m just wondering if my upcoming Jazz has a faulty sensor

I may just test drive her again when I pick her up to see if it happens again

I don't think it's a faulty sensor, maybe they are oversensative

That’s what I was thinking too. It only happened the once when in traffic

I’ve just been in contact with the dealer to clarify a couple of details like the Honda warranty period & Honda Assistance (AA) etc

I’ve also asked if it’s ok to look underneath the car up on a ramp before handover, it’s just something I like to do when buying a car; it ensures there’s no oil leaks and double checks exhaust condition etc. The dealer had no issues with that

I’m probably being over cautious as the car is only 15 months old but I like to be careful with these things

Congrats on your decision! - Please keep in mind to keep it charged; I've added a reminder for this in my calendar every three months. - It is like it was with a spare wheel: You had to keep it pressurised so it would be fit for the eventual emergency.
