 Hello to all and it's good to have found a place where there is some information on the first gen hrv.  Being the proud owner of one with 705k km . Bought it new in 2002 and kind of stuck on it now after all these years. Did an engine rebuild at 570k but other than that, just regular maintenance and it's due time for a few other things to be fixed on her if she's to be going for a bit more.  It would be great to connect with other members with the same model car . Mine is the D16W5 motor 124hp VTEC. All the best .

Wow, your HRV has some mileage under its belt. Proper old school Honda engineering. I'm impressed you did your own engine rebuild, way above my DIY servicing skills!

Westy thanks for the welcome !!  I didn't do my own engine rebuild, had it done professionally. should have clarified that point. Diy oil changes , spark plugs and brake pads
is about the extent of my experience. All the best
