Apple CarPlay settings.

Could someone please confirm that to use Maps in Apple CarPlay I must enable my iphone for 'mobile data' and also go to privacy and enable 'location services.'
If this is true it certainly seems to use quite an amount of data. I wonder if I'm doing something wrong!

Yes both those need to be enabled as maps wouldn't work without. Data usage is not that great.
