Has anyone owned a Honda FRV? big brother to the CRV,  the FRV was so wide,  it had  a 2-row  3 + 3 seating configuration, the three front seats were individual adult sized seats for the driver and two passengers  ie not a bench seat. The Honda salesman steered me away from an FRV, "it has the fuel consumption of a bus"
Is this correct?

There’s a diesel 55 plate FRV near me, looks similar to the jazz, don’t see many about, no idea what they’re like to own…

My brother got an FRV when his kids were young and loved it. No problems at all in 8 years, it's why he suggested I think Honda. I think he averaged about 37 mpg. It certainly took a lot of stuff and had many trips towing a folding camper around the UK and to France. I drove it a few times. You had to rev it a bit and I think he wished he'd got the bigger engine (it was a 1.7) but it was smooth.

Bought a Civic and it was an excellent car so bought the Jazz as a spanish run around on the strength of it and when the Civic was written off by a hit and run when parked up we bought the CRV too!

To start right, my first ever own car was a Honda Civic 1.5 GL from 1987.
Than i read about a Civic coupé, saw pictures, and decided i want one.
So my second car became a 1996 coupé DXI. Again a 1.5 engine, but this time an injection 16 valve.
After be 9 years with the coupé, i bought my first Volkswagen. Belief it or not, i liked that car.
But i became homesick, a Honda fan as i am, can simply not without a Honda, so i swap my Volkswagen for a Civic i-Dtec 2.2 which was for sale at the Dutch flagship Honda store in The Netherlands.
A very strong car which i call lovely my Type D after the famous petrol brother Type R and the softer Type S.
This was in every aspect a problem free driver. Never one failure in 9 years ownership.
Tires ran a huge milage.
Maybe one con was the painful change of light bulbs, which i must build off some engine parts to reach the headlight units. But the bulbs had a lifespan around of 7 years, so it was not a daily task.
When my Jazz came, i was very happy to notice it have the headlights i wanted, led lights.

Almost forget to name other Honda cars on my adres, the 2 Civics my mom owned.

In 2008 we bought a new Honda FR-V as the family taxi. With three seats across the front it fitted our family of 3 perfectly. It meant that we could sit together and our son wasn’t relegated to the back seats. He could see exactly what we were seeing.

That car has taken our son to school, taken us on holidays to Italy, Scotland and France. With the three of us up front it turned into a van to take our son to University and to his first job. We have now given the car to family member who is cheerfully adding to its 140,000 miles.

Now we have retired we have switched to a Jazz. But that FR-V has turned us into Honda fans. Shame it isn’t being made any more and didn’t really catch on.
