Honda Jazz Mk4 2020 - / Re: Looking Again At The Jazz 2023
« Last post by coldstart on Today at 07:21:50 AM »On my Toyota hybrid, the graphic display shows the battery feeding the engine when sitting in D with the parking brake applied. With my foot on the brake or using brake hold this doesn't happen. Does the Jazz work in the same way?
The power flow display in the Jazz shows no flow from the battery to the motor whenever any form of brake is applied:
- normal foot brake
- brake hold
- parking brake
- gear lever in P
Honda even goes so far as to automatically switch from brake hold to parking brake after a 10 minutes stand still.

I'm happy with the 35 / 33 as I'm usually the only occupant and no luggage

Honda Jazz Mk3 2015 - 2020 / Re: Resetting right hand round dashboard dial. (HOW TO)
« Last post by Tamsiin on December 05, 2024, 10:24:42 PM »This might depend on which screen you're starting from, but typically:
1. Press either Up/Down button (lower-right of steering wheel) repeatedly until the Exit screen appears (like an open door with an arrow pointing left)
2. Press Sel/Reset
3. You should now be back to the "Customise settings" screen (like two pages, one superimposed on the other).
4. Now use the Up/Down buttons repeatedly to cycle through the various screens to find the one you want.
If in doubt ... it's all in the handbook (available on the Honda website if you don't have the hard copy)
Thank you for your advice it is very much appreciated I will follow your suggestions in the morning in daylight

« Last post by Jazzik on December 05, 2024, 09:57:59 PM »Absolutely if you have up to 3 people in the car (plus their luggage) and don’t drive above 100mph the tyre pressures should be:In my younger days mine would have been set to 39psi Front 38psi rear
Front 35psi Rear 33psi
So I am (still?) in my younger days. I always set them at 39 psi front - 38 psi rear.
Usually 2 people on board, sometimes 3 and very, very sometimes even more than 3.

However if I know I’m going to be stopped for a while then I’ll just put her in P and wait
..or just use the hand brake, which is how we were all taught. The beauty of the Jazz hand brake, you don't have to release it when moving off.

I had an original Mk1 Golf in my late teens, the original hot hatch and sought after by so many boy(or girl) racers in its day. Today the Jazz is just as fast, yet only sought after by pensioners :'(
My second car was an Alfasud, now that really was great fun to drive especially when I was aged 19/20. Like all Alfa’s it rusted away in front of me but being young that didn’t matter…. I absolutely loved that car
I’ve owned so many cars over the years including lots of Citroens, Volvo’s, VW’s, Mercedes and three Honda’s. I loved my MK1 Prelude which I owned for a couple of years plus a Honda Accord auto which replaced a Citroen BX GTI and much later a Honda Civic
The ONLY failure that I had was the Honda Accord auto. It overheated on the A1 which totalled the engine. It cost me a fortune to repair. It was metallic green so I’ve stayed away from green cars ever since
My/partners recent experience has been all Toyota. My MK2 Prius, Land Cruiser Colorado, Land Cruiser Amazon V8 (we towed a caravan so needed a capable tow vehicle), Auris plus my recent Prius Mk4
I really wanted to stay with Toyota after having such a good experience with them but as I wanted to downsize the only choice was the Yaris and the Jazz
The Jazz came out tops compared to the Yaris in so many ways
I test drove both cars extensively. The only reason to buy the Yaris is that it’s slightly more fun to drive compared to the Jazz but in every other respect the Yaris fell short of the lovely Jazz
Am I pleased with my Jazz? You betcha…. and I’m not a pensioner either
