Yes, I have the manuals on an iPad. But I am puzzled by the disappearance of the on-board versions.

I've never bothered with the in-car manual.

You can either  carry the paper manual or download the pdf version  from Honda onto your phone.  I usually read the searchable pdf  on my desktop.

I hate to show my ignorance, but need to know as a friend is about to by a Jazz.
what EXACTLY does the brake 'simulator' do?
Is the car drivable when it fails? If so is it that there is no feedback on the pedal.

I have never owned a Honda with the problem. My eHEV HR-V was faultless, as was my eHEV CR-V but I gather this problem is far wider than the Jazz Hybrid HR-V, Hybrid CR-V etc are affected.
Thank you in advance for any help forthcoming.
Colin.
This may help https://www.lsp-ias.com/our-products/pedal-feel-emulator the Honda 'E' was also affected. I don't think the brakes fail but more pressure on the brake pedal is needed, probably similar to having no servo assist

As LordV says, leaks may eminate from a completely difference place to where they show themselves. I have even seen water run uphill.

In a previous life I was involved in the inspection/quality assurance of the building of specialist bodywork onto vehicle chassis, eg ambulance bodies on to Land Rover chassis delivered from British Leyland).

The inspection procedure involved being shut inside a blacked-out body with a torch and searching for leaks while the body was subject to a constant downpour of water. It was often the case that the source of the leak was not where the leak showed inside, and on more than one occasion the water showed inside at a higher point than where it was penetrating the outer skin, having "wicked" upwards.

Yes it's very frustrating! It has been completely dry here for a couple of days and there is still a small trickle of water, so I'm wondering if it's to do with the screen wash hose at the rear or if it's coming from lingering water. I might have to admit defeat and take it for the garage to have a look.

Unfortunately leaks can sometimes migrate quite a long way from their actual source ,hidden behind trim, headlining, carpets etc , before revealing themselves.  And sometimes if the water course passes something that could be a source it gets the blame.
Also  leaks may be quite gradual ,  insidious  and difficult to detect  until it seeps down to an obstruction of some sort where  it starts to pool enough to reveal itself.    In extreme weather  the source might even be condensation rather than rain water leaking in. .

You may have more success if you can get the car dried out and then systematically testing by pouring  water ,maybe from a watering can , onto potential leak spots. Even if they dont seem likely. Starting some distance from where the leak is revealed and gradually  to  nearer contenders until a leak is observed.

Also look for any built in drain holes etc  that may have got blocked by leaves etc. Even good seals can leak if water is able form a pool .

Honda Jazz Mk4 2020 - / Disappearing owners manual
« Last post by Downsizer on Today at 10:02:03 AM »
The owners manual app has mysteriously disappeared since I bought the car a month ago. When I start the car a message appears at the top of the screen saying “owners manual will be downloaded” beside an orange no 1 in a circle. On pressing that I am offered the vehicle and navigation manuals in a variety of European languages, but selecting English then says “unavailable”, although the other languages can be selected. Any suggestions?
