Advice for new owner please.

I have Park Assist in my car and I have tried it once to see if it worked. It did work although I would have liked to have been a bit closer to the kerb.  Actually it is rare the I parallel park these days.  I park on my drive and if I am out I usually go to a car park and drive or reverse into a space.

Double yellows springing up around by us to discourage parking on the road,  which is where you need parallel park most often - personally never had any problem with parallel parking.   I always try to revers into parking spaces as well,  a lot of shunts happen when people trying to reverse out of spots and can't see what is coming and a lot of people drive way too fast on carparks.... and even when they see reversing lights on will try to squeeze through.

This is where the rear view camera comes into its own.  With it set on wide (or panoramic) view, you can actually see more reversing out than you can driving out.  And I do totally agree that people drive too fast and don't give way to cars coming out of spaces.  It's the "It's my right of way" syndrome.

The Honda-e interior mirror is also a rearview screen for the camera. Switches between mirror and screen mode, as you require and shows a wide-angle view in reverse, I believe.

Give the left stalk a twist towards you and let it return. The headlight symbol will extinguish, as will the headlights themselves.

Yes, but this step can be eliminated by resetting the delay time to zero.

Really? I have to try this once again as I think I set it to zero but it still leaves the lights on when switchng off ignition.

In my Jazz, if it is dark outside, the lights will stay on even when the ignition is off even if delay time is set to zero. I didn't check for how long. They do switch off if the car is locked, but that doesn't help as I never lock the doors at home. So I have to twist the switch to get lights off when I stop the car.
