Wheelchair Friendly

Just a bit of info if anyone is interested.
When I recently changed our car one of the requirements was the ability to get a wheelchair in the boot without having to fold any of the back seats.
Most small hatchbacks are not suitable, tried a Polo and couldn't do it.
Pleased to say the Jazz does it with ease  :)
Also the doors seem to open more than other hatchbacks making entry ( for my disabled wife) easier.
It will be alright in the end, if it's not alright then it's not the end !

Hi

Thanks for this information, very helpful. I’m considering a mk3 for this reason, I’m hoping by using the magic seats, tipping up the 2/3 section will also give enough space to carry a walking frame leaving a seat for a rear passenger. These cars do seem very versatile which I value more over fancy features.

Any helpful Honda dealer should let you try your frame with the seats up, if not let me know and I'll try one in our car.
I was surprised how much room I still had left in the boot for other things and I restrain the chair using some panier straps and the restraining points that are behind the seats.
I can't use the parcel shelf but that's a small price to pay.
