07 Jazz Sport
« on: November 24, 2011, 05:56:00 PM »
Hi just a few pictures of my missus recent bought Jazz Sport in Storm silver with only 16K miles.

Did a 20 miles trip at a steady speed and this is what i got.

Not bad with 3 kids and my wife!
Reckon i could get 50+mpg easily on longer runs.

I'm not too keen on them bump strips, but it doesnt bother her and would help prevent dings on supermarket carparks.

Nice motor  :D i like the colour... thats good mpg. And yes, you will acheive over 50mpg on a longer run with no problem, my wifes 1.4 DSI SE got to 52 on a 85 mile trip we did in it a while back. My GE has been up to 53.5, recently. Just what you need with petrol as expensive at is these days....

It's actually quite nippy for a small engine with good fuel economy!

Which got me amazed as i'm used to the 26mpg on the petrol Accord tourer. :'(

Thats what i like about the jazz, its a very fuel efficent motor, but has a bit of punch when needed too! the wifes car is very nippy and has done over 100k now! my 1.4 es is even quicker, its faster than the 53 facelifted civic 1.6SE i sold recently, that was good on fuel, never dropped below 40mpg, and averaged 43mpg on the combined run, when i went to devon in it (283 miles) it got 51mpg on the motorway doing a steady 70 mph... i was very tempted by a accord as i love em, but the jazz won it on fuel economy and the fun drive, it handles much better than the civic, although the ride was smoother, but best for comfort and smoothness was my 1998 civic 1.4i 5dr... i loved that motor... i had a 1995 one before that. Nice cars, my workmate has a 1.8 VTI aerodeck version.. flying machine!!  ;D

I love Storm Grey. It's a lovely colour. Better than wishy washy I mean Sirius Blue ;D But beggars can't be choosers.

I don't know if my 2005 MY has an MPG  gauge, I hope it does. All this trying to get more mpg is rather foreign to me. In the Mini clubs it was about BHP and how much extra you could get from removing the wheel arches or removing the CAT.  ;)

Your jazz will defo have a mpg reader on the clock.... the wifes is 02 and has one, all jazz models do, as far as i am aware... yes, i can well imagine it all about making a mini go faster and handle even better!! sounds like fun!!  ;D

I love my Accord, dont get me wrong i do like the little Jazz for what its designed for. But the build quality and comfort level is in a different league. Except the fuel bill. :(

just a sneaky pic of the twin exits.... ;D

Yes, its a fantastic colour on a fantastic motor! i was so, so tempted to buy an accord after the civic, but its just the cost of fuel....  :'(  otherwise it would have defo been my next choice, i used to drive my mate 2.0 accord auto saloon (04) and it was a beauty.... if i ever get a better job or win some cash i will be defo getting a accord... the wife can have my ES! lol.  ;D
