Drove the EX model most impressed peformance and ride has been improved , decided on the ES spec after  scanning the range of 'electrical extras' on the EX model ( I  did hanker after the leather steering wheel though).
Colour choice means we wait untill new year - mid Jan 09.

:D Picked up my 1.4 EX last week. Really happy with it. It is my first 'sensible' car. Got Cerulean Blue with the Elite pack with the Sat Nav. Only issue is that the reversing sensors are a bit quiet.

Ryland Honda Cardiff were really good too.

 :D
I took delivery of a Cerulean Blue ES manual on 28th Feb ready for 1st March but I have not done many miles yet, so far it is indicating 53.4 miles per gallon which includes PDI and delivery to my home.

 :D
I am really pleased with the car so far but will need to return it to have a couple of small problems sorted. The luggage retaining ring behind the back seat is trapped under the boot side trim and one of the alloy wheels looks like it was chipped when one wheel nut was fitted.  :(

I have found the flap between then rear seat and the parcel shelf very difficult to clip back on and will ask at the dealer if there is a technique to make this easier.

The trip computer is the best I have seen so far and the MPG analog display is really good.

Overall very satisfied so far.

Hi csp
I find that if I kneel on the rear seat & lean over the back you can 'easily fasten' the flaps between seat & parcel shelf - its a good place to keep a large umbrella  :)
Only seen 1 new Jazz  on the road locally (back in January) other than my EX i-shift
only 09 reg has been a Fiesta

Seat Altea FR TDi. Was fast as #*@& and great fun to leave all the boy racers in their scoobies in my wake. Only problem was all that torque kept shredding my tyres, had 5 sets in 3 years and that was driving normally (not flooring it).

Had a mini before that, but had to get a bigger car due to new baby. I still miss my mini!

Hi oui4711,

Thanks, I will try again.

I have seen a 09 Fiesta and last week a 58 plate GE Jazz in Tesco's car park.

I have had my Jazz ex for a week I have no complaints - a nice comfortable car and it runs very smoothly if fact it is hard to hear the engine ticking over. I have done 138 miles and the display is showing 52 mpg I will be quite happy if it stays at that. Looking forward to many more carefree miles.

hi,
i am new here from australia.  I have joined this forum as the only one in australia is locked for a few months so I cannot get any help there.

I am in the process of buying another jazz.
Our models here are GL 1.3 , 1.5 VTI & VTI-S
1.3 litre - 1339 cc Maximum power 73kW @ 6000 rpm
1.5 litre - 1497 cc  Maxium power 88kW @ 6600 rpm

just wondering which of your models would be equal to ours & what are people buying over in the UK

thanks for that,
so your 1.4 is equal to our 1.3. I was trying to make my mind up on whether to buy the aust 1.3 or 1.5 .
we don't have sunroofs over here & we can't get the sat nav.
cvt is gone & the sports model vti-s has a paddle shift.
blue tooth is an option (should be standard these days)
The 1.3 is selling well here & the 1.5 is being offer with free on roads costs & extra 2 years warranty. The price difference is $2000.00au between  1.3 & 1.5 models.
the sports adds another $3,000.00 for body kit, wheels, cruise control.
