Title: Alloy Wheel Cleaner
Post by: AlanTR on April 12, 2019, 09:13:27 PM
Can anyone recommend a good quality alloy wheel cleaner that actually works?

Recently bought a litre bottle of Carplan Demon Wheel Cleaner to use on our Mk 3 SE Jazz and it was pretty useless.

By comparison, the alloy wheels on our other car, Hyundai I10 Premium, have more of a gloss finish and clean up really well.

Autoglym clean wheels,  Carplan wonder wheels  are both I have used without issues

With issues? Or did you mean without?
Thanks

I like Autoglym, though now I no longer have the alloys to worry about!

I did use meguiars's Hot Rims, but likewise, I don't have alloys anymore, I now use what's left to clean tea-stains out of my stainless steel travel mug, brings it up sparkling.

Once you have clean wheels, try Poorboys Wheel Sealant.

Then, each time you clean the car, just use a damp/ wet micro fibre cloth on the wheels to wipe off the muck.
