Migrated from a civic.
« on: August 02, 2011, 11:16:48 PM »
Hi, I am Daz, and have just got a HONDA JAZZ 1.4 i-DSi SE 5dr CVT-7, on 07 plates until I transfer my own onto it. I got it as my mum was selling it, with 16k on the clock and offered me a stupid price I couldn't ignore, and I needed a 4 door car for "family" reasons. It is replacing a Civic Sport (05) which has 65k on the clock and is now for sale.

One thing that is bugging me: is that I had put a K&N panel filter on my Civic, and it not only increased the power, but also increased the economy on long journeys. Are there any merits to fitting one to the Jazz? It seems like an obvious improvement.

Also, it only came with 1 key, and 2mills Honda want £240 for a spare........ Are they on drugs or something?

Hello and welcome Daz  8)

With regards to the K&N, by all means just try it and see what you get.

The way i see it- K&N are more "free-flowing" which in turn feeds more air into the engine and hence should increase power and economy.

A few of us have done this and I've personally noticed a slight gain- but I class myself as a "modder"  :P

"modder"....I am more of a "fiddler," usually living to regret it.
