Obviously without driving yours nobody else could say that's OK or not OK. I've got a 2018 1.3S, the gear change isn't as quick, smooth or sporty as the 2003 1.4SE I used to own, however I wouldn't describe it as notchy, I haven't had any specific issues with it, just noticed it's not as effortless as the old one, it is perfectly acceptable, just not great like the mk1 Jazz, I've driven much worse brand new cars (and better).

The door issue sounds like the striker plate on the door frame needs slight adjustment and possibly the hinges and/or the door catch as well, this is a simple 5 or 10 minute job.

I'd get the dealer to adjust the door and at the very least give you an opinion on the gerachange, there may be some adjustment they can do there as well to improve it.

All the best

I love the black wheels on the sport model.

The wheels really set it off, especially with the white.

LOL took half a day nothing was done to the door just some lubes still the same.

Wont buy another HONDA again. This is just ridiculous.

I have had second Nissan and Daihatsu, brand new Yaris and Kia Sportage. They never had this annoying problem.

Well, gonna have to get the tools from the tool box and fix this ish myself.

Having carried out this adjustment on other cars here's a tip.Mark around the door catch on the pillar so that you know where you started from. Loosen the bolts/screws but not completely. Tap the door catch outwards until the drawn line just disappears and re-tighten the bolts then try the door for ease of closing If it is still hard to close draw another line and repeat the exercise. If this doesn't work you can always go back to the original line and think again.

Hi

Sorry sounds silly I know but it’s not due to air pressure is it with it been new

To test, open 1 door and then see how the door that needs slamming shuts

If it shuts normal, it is likely air pressure until bedded in on seals

Sorry if I’m wrong

Many thanks

John

I left a 1 star review to that dealership. Warning unwitting customers to take their money else where.

It is certainly possible on the mk1 Jazz, and later cars too I believe, but modding to that extent is not so common here in the UK. You might be better having a browse through the US based forum FitFreak.

Might have to get the WK short shifter. Anyone else feel the shifter is too low for your taste?
