Honda jazz 2015 1.3 Timing chain problem
« on: December 18, 2023, 11:21:28 AM »
Hey everyone!
So i have a problem with a honda jazz its a 2015, the engine code is L13B2!
So the client came in with the problem that the car wouldnt start anymore and so we took it apart and saw that the timing chain was worn out and the marks werent in place anymore, so we ordered the new one straight from the factory, (all parts are OEM). After replacing the timing chain along with some of the cog wheels or whatever they are called in english, but we cant get the marks in place, since you lock the cog wheels with the studs and you cant manually move them. One of the camshaft marks is not lining up with one tooth on the wheel, asked from our local honda dealership and they had no clue, so i thought maybe some of you have any experience, for any more further questions you might have let me know!!

Greetings from Estonia!!

Sorry no idea. First I've heard of a Jazz chain needing replacement. If you find the answer, perhaps update the thread for future use.  :)

Maybe is naive but you can check youtube, maybe you get some ideas from there:

It is not the same engine as yours!! L13A and some unknown model

As previously, let us know if you find solution for future reference.
