Managed to find a rare accessory.
« on: May 11, 2022, 06:25:08 PM »
I have been looking for the centre console with the built in armrest since we bought the car almost 2 years ago and finally found one at a scrap dealer about 7 miles away in very good condition as well,  the first time I have seen one for sale. It wasn't cheap but I managed to knock the guy down by a good chunk so I'm happy. It looks easy to fit so I'll have a go on Sunday.

Nice find.

I was pleased to find a Japanese vendor who can get all the, non UK, accessories to the UK in about a week. They got me the replacement black rimmed dash cup holders without issue.
Let's be careful out there !

Looks to be in really good condition. I think the forum needs before and after photos if you've the time!  :)

Good spot we fitted a few of the drop in centre console units to MK1 Jazz provided additional storage. Looks like OE well done.

It isn't a perfect match as it came from an 03 car & ours is an 05. The armest is the same colour but the material is slighter coarse and the plastic moulding is very dark grey rather than black, but not really noticeable when installed.

I'm still happy with it.

No point I am afraid, it was a one-off from a scrapped car.

Edit: apologies I didn't read your quoted post properly.

I have mentioned it to Richard and he's investigating.

Once complete and with permission I will provide a link.

Mine was supplied and fitted by the dealer when new:

(The exhaust trim also detailed in the above link was purchased from a Honda dealer in the US off ebay. It recently either fell off or someone has pinched it  :o).

Nice find :)

Can i get more details on the aftermarket stereo?

What fascia did you use? what's the size of the screen? do the controls on the steering wheel work with the stereo?

thank you
