Title: Slipping Clutch
Post by: willsie01 on June 26, 2022, 05:06:29 PM
On our 4th Jazz and it's the first that has had a slipping clutch at 70k miles. The others got to 100k plus without developing this. Is this unusual? This is the first 2008 car we've had the other 3 were all 2007.

70k is not unusual but it depends how it is driven and on what roads it spends most of its life. If driven carefully and say mostly on motorways then it will last much longer. Clutches can last well over 100k.

Our first Jazz, GD was on something like 75k when we sold it and the clutch was like new.

depends on the previous owners.. i remember years ago when i worked in a Lada garage . yep lada lol.. had to put a new clutch in a riva with 40.000 thousand miles which i thought was odd.. until around 5.30 when we heared this awful noise coming from the car park of the owner a dear old gentleman trying to get it out of the space..
