Title: Alloy protectors
Post by: trebor1652 on May 21, 2021, 03:09:30 PM
I was wondering if any of you have tried/fitted alloy scuff protectors.
I see there are quite a lot of self adhesive types.
The ones that got my interest are rimfinity. They are fitted between the rim and the tyre, so not a do at home job.
Your thoughts and observations please.

If you scuff your wheels a fair bit, or have on street parking and are often forced to perform speedy parallel parking manouevers, then I might be tempted to buy some if I were keeping the car.

I wouldn't bother however and save the money, as I've clearly been careful and/or quite lucky, as I've yet to scuff a wheel. Tempting fate now mind, I'll scuff a wheel tomorrow!  :D

Have you checked out Alloygators?
I haven't personally used them, but many driving instructor colleagues swear by them to save their alloys.
