Delivery times
« on: August 31, 2011, 06:11:24 PM »
I saw my Jazz for the first time today, prior to the dual controls being put in and being collected tomorrow morning  ;D ;D

I had a bit of a moan that it was only just delivered in time, it arrived at the dealership at 12.30, and the engineer was booked to arrive for 1pm, luckily he was delayed and didn't arrive till 2pm.

Anyway the only other car on the delivery was another Hybrid Jazz, and that was ordered in February. I know Japan has had a few problems since February, but 6 months delivery for a Honda??

I hope parts arrive a bit quicker !

I ordered my Hybrid in February and received it in March, but it was from the shipment already en-route.

I would wonder if waiting for a September delivery was a conscious decision in order to get the newer registration number.

I initially ordered it for June delivery, but was soon told there was no HS models, only HEs for June delivery. HSs weren't coming till early July, then it was second to forth week of July, so then I suggested that they might as well hold it till Sept 1st, and even then they cut it fine.

Two hours to go  :D :D

This report http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-wiltshire-14759498 helps to explain a shortage of UK-produced Jazzes. I presume the Japanese-made hybrids also had to take their share of the cuts caused by a shortage of some parts.

And another local report http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/news/local/9231197.Honda_production_down_by_17_000/ has a different set of numbers.
