Cheers for that heads-up.
I have just returned from a short hols abroad using a Garmin Zumo 595 on a motorbike. I did an update a couple of weeks before leaving (never ever do it the night before!!) and it appeared to be fine. However it decided to not play sound to the headphones saying it was not in a cradle (necessary for it to output), but it knew it was in the cradle because it auto boots when so powered and it was charging.
I found by trial and error that if I booted it up on battery and once running I fitted it into the cradle, the sound worked fine. This is a typical type of bug Garmin seems skilled at introducing when issuing an update, why do they do it?
I'll try another update and see if it sorts it out. The descriptions about Music Management and crashes with removable storage (where my music is stored) all sound like fixing a c0ck-up in an earlier update to me.
When it works well, it's fine. Garmin eh?

Done the updates .................. still seems the same. Oh well, maybe it's the unit rather than the software, who knows. As long as I have a reliable work-around no big deal. Perhaps it will "heal" itself just as it developed the condition.
Garmin works in mysterious ways indeed.

Have done the update this afternoon, no issues everything went smoothly.
Haven’t yet tested it, so time will tell.

Garmin Express has to be updated more frequently as it is the interface between all the Garmin devices and the central database.
