I was handed a sort of hamper of car care jollop, care of my dealership. I think I used too much of the shampoo because the car was left with some residue.

But do you rest it upside down on it’s little plinth badge to stop the soap residue from forming in the basin?  :)

Well, I haven't until now. But I'll change the habits of a lifetime. I always like to take good advice when it's offered.

Thank you for your thoughts.  ;)

I don't think you can go wrong with any Autoglym or Meguiars products. The Autoglym pure shampoo is good, I also quite like the Meguiars Wash and Wax (looks like custard!)

I’ve been using Autoglym car shampoo for many years - it leaves a good shine on the car without having to do anything else.

I've been using Mer polish for years.

I suppose I'll have to use the stuff supplied to me by the dealer because the car has had ProTech applied and I don't know if I need to be careful what I use on it. Any thoughts on that?

Autoglym bodywork shampoo for me, used it for years. My 20yr old Yaris paintwork looked near new on it. I apply wax once a year usually (Autoglym resin) then just the shampoo.
