Black exhaust tip
« on: March 14, 2024, 04:54:49 PM »
Hey guys, I drive 2007 1.4DSI and I was wondering how black is your exhaust tip from the inside? I've heard that Honda's run a bit rich and I was wondering if other Jazzes have this problem. It's not as black as on diesel cars but leaves some soot on my finger when I scrub the inside. I've replaced my catalyst converter because the ceramics in the original one was broken. Since then I get P0420 code and that is usual thing with aftermarket cats from which I read here on forums and what my mechanic told me. And I also don't think that's the issue because it's been a bit black since I've bought it 2 years ago. Thanks!

All car exhausts will be black and sooty inside, mine is a bit sooty outside too.
