When I swapped my Nextbase, from the Mk2.
I bought a couple of dashboard sticky pads, from Ebay. £3.99.

Cut a section away, to snug it up to the cowl.......

That was back in June. It has stayed stuck. Despite the long summer's sunshine.

Though, the mount's suction pad has had to be repositioned, a couple of times.....  ;)
Does the dashcam show any of the cowl?  Thanks.

Is that a nextbase as not seen mine yet?   Do not recognise the stand, how have you adapted it. Thanks.

Yes it's a standard Nextbase camera and I have made up the horizontal bar, as an adaptor,  from brass sheet, in order to move the camera forward.
Has anyone stuck theirs to the cowl?  Thanks.

Not enough to cause an obstruction. But balanced, by the tidy installation......

David.

Dayjo, thanks for the pic, cannot see how you have put it to the window unless I am missing something of course, can you explain where you have put it as the view looks good. Many thanks.

Well, only last week I e-mailed Nextbase Head Office in Caerphilly and they sent me a couple of adhesive pads and no charge. Try again fao Ash  Support@nextbase.co.uk  they were more than helpful fair play.
Hi, I got some 3m pads from them which was very kind but not sure how the 4 pads can work with the suction pad, can I please ask how you did it. ty.

They will not work or for suction pad mount. My nextbase kit came with a stickable mount that is much smaller than suction mount. You can get sticky mounts on e-bay eg. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3M-VHB-STRONG-ADHESIVE-GLASS-WIND-SCREEN-MOUNT-for-Nextbase-312GW-412GW-512GW/142645899708?hash=item21365bb1bc:g:RdwAAOSwOgdYzCSb they cost around £10 but mine was in the box.

Went back to nextbase and they are sending me the stand with adhesive sticker on it so hopefully I can put it on the dimpled part of screen,  their support has been amazing and really nice to deal with a Company that go out of their way to keep their customers happy.  Other companies could learn a lot from them.

Excellent news. After dealings with them I left positive reviews on trust pilot for them. They really do go out of their way to help nextbase buyers. I had stuck mine to the dimpled part on previous car had no problems when I got rid of the car the adhesive strip came off without any damage using credit card to prise off.

Wipe the area you are going to stick mount to with methylation spirit / isopropyl alcohol ( spectacle cleaning wipes ) to ensure no contamination on the area..

Some people will only consider you an expert if they agree with your point of view or advice,  when you give them advice they don't like they consider you an idiot

I have my Nextbase mounted behind the mirror on my Mk1:

The sucker wouldn't adhere to the dimpled area so I had to mount it lower than I did with my previous dashcam.
