The SE Mk3 CVT is my third new Jazz and the best yet, having only had one automatic car before I have no regrets in switching from manual to auto. Having to keep your foot on the foot break at traffic lights etc to prevent the engine from restarting is a pain though.
I agree about the foot on the brake thing. It's the one downside for me. In a manual I'd be handbrake on, feet off pedals, nice and relaxed. With the auto your right leg is tensed and I don't like that. I'd like to be handbrake, neutral and engine to restart on moving into drive. It must be impossible technically because, as far as I know, all autos with stop/start are like this.
Overall, though, glad I made the switch because using a manual was aggravating both my shoulder and ankle problems. Plus, given I do most of my driving in slow heavy traffic it is a lot less stressful.
