Which? has also published an HRV review http://www.which.co.uk/cars/choosing-a-car/latest-first-drives/honda-hr-v-2015-/ (http://www.which.co.uk/cars/choosing-a-car/latest-first-drives/honda-hr-v-2015-/).

Verdict

The HR-V isn’t the most enthralling car we’ve ever driven, but no compact SUV is. More importantly, it’s easy to drive and should be relatively efficient to run, especially if you opt for the diesel.

However, its practicality will make the HR-V a tempting purchase. Put simply, there’s no other compact SUV on the market with as much interior space, boot capacity and everyday versatility.

The only issue could be the high purchase price (from £17,995) – it puts it into direct competition with the immensely popular Nissan Qashqai and other medium-sized SUVs which offer a generally bigger car for the same money. The Juke, which we’d say is the biggest HR-V rival, starts from around £14,000 – you’d have to decide if the HR-V offers £4,000 extra practicality and equipment to warrant buying one.
