Honda Jazz Mk2 2008-2015 / Re: leak and condensation 2012 EX
« Last post by ianhj on Today at 05:28:04 PM »I had exactly this problem about 2 years ago. It was coming in through the aerial. Pull the headlining down gently in the middle and shine a torch in.
I removed the holding nut that’s inside the car, taking care not to drop it. I then disconnected the aerial wire and removed the aerial from the outside. I had to call in the help of my wife to do this. I then cleaned up the area and put a thin smear of silicone around the opening before replacing the aerial and refitting the nut from inside. Not had a problem since. A lot of this is done by feel as I didn’t want to remove the headlining.
Hope this helps.

Honda Jazz Mk1 2002-2008 / Headlight adjustment.
« Last post by nalimugmug on Today at 05:21:10 PM »I've just replaced both main bulbs on my wife's car, I normally do so by going in through the wheel arch, however this time I removed the units to gain access. With a unit out, I've taken some pics to show what the
Honda diagram lacks. You will need a long thin Philips screwdriver for the up/down adjuster, this to be done with the in car barrel switch in position 0. There are markings on the plastic moulding for which direction to turn the adjusters.
I found this method of changing the bulbs easier, although a bit more time-consuming, it saved skinned knuckles and donations to the swear box.

You can either carry the paper manual or download the pdf version from Honda onto your phone. I usually read the searchable pdf on my desktop.

Honda Jazz Mk4 2020 - / Re: Mk4 2021 Jazz Brake failure
« Last post by Tombola on Today at 11:00:55 AM »I hate to show my ignorance, but need to know as a friend is about to by a Jazz. This may help https://www.lsp-ias.com/our-products/pedal-feel-emulator the Honda 'E' was also affected. I don't think the brakes fail but more pressure on the brake pedal is needed, probably similar to having no servo assist
what EXACTLY does the brake 'simulator' do?
Is the car drivable when it fails? If so is it that there is no feedback on the pedal.
I have never owned a Honda with the problem. My eHEV HR-V was faultless, as was my eHEV CR-V but I gather this problem is far wider than the Jazz Hybrid HR-V, Hybrid CR-V etc are affected.
Thank you in advance for any help forthcoming.
Colin.

« Last post by GBH on Today at 10:57:12 AM »As LordV says, leaks may eminate from a completely difference place to where they show themselves. I have even seen water run uphill.
In a previous life I was involved in the inspection/quality assurance of the building of specialist bodywork onto vehicle chassis, eg ambulance bodies on to Land Rover chassis delivered from British Leyland).
The inspection procedure involved being shut inside a blacked-out body with a torch and searching for leaks while the body was subject to a constant downpour of water. It was often the case that the source of the leak was not where the leak showed inside, and on more than one occasion the water showed inside at a higher point than where it was penetrating the outer skin, having "wicked" upwards.

« Last post by tazjazz on Today at 10:23:53 AM »Yes it's very frustrating! It has been completely dry here for a couple of days and there is still a small trickle of water, so I'm wondering if it's to do with the screen wash hose at the rear or if it's coming from lingering water. I might have to admit defeat and take it for the garage to have a look.
