Ford have introduced a three-cylinder 1.0-litre engine in the Fiesta (and also in the Focus!). The specs look very impressive:

0-62mph 9.4sec
Top speed 122mph
Economy 65.7mpg
CO2 99g/km
Power 123bhp at 6000rpm
Torque 126lb ft at 1400-4500rpm

A shame that a renowned engine-builder like Honda haven't been on the ball as many rivals introduce turbo-charged petrol engines to boost performance and economy.
