Gear change from first to second

Just bought 6month old 1.4se with 1200 mls on clock gear change from ist to second feels notchy. Is this a common problem when new or something to take up with the dealer. Apologies for ist message ,just learning the ropes.

Welcome we would need a bit more info, the issue could be
new car
clutch drag
etc
once identified then straight back to garage for them to rectify.

i to have this problem,mine is a 05 plate jazz sport.

not a real problem,and its is only when changing from

1st to second and when the gearbox is still cold,from

what i have read on various websites i think this is quite

a common problem(or as honda would say,a characteristic of the car :D)

I have a 07 plate jazz sport manual and since new 1st to 2nd is a bit notchy but once warmed up seems fine

...yes, (when not fully warmed up) sometimes it feels like the gear stick wasnt pushed fully into first so when changing to second will 'pop' out of first.
