Some dealers have already sented out invitations (by email probably) to see the new Jazz around the 24/25th of October!

The NW dealers have a launch date of the 17th Oct for existing customers, interesting to learn Honda have a 1.2 se spec for 2009 = new model + air con & bits.
I will give feedback after the drive of the vehicle.

I received a letter from my local supplying dealer, inviting me to test drive a new Jazz for 24 hours when it is launched on the 17th Oct.

New car sales must be really down this month if they are having to offer 24 hour test drives already on an as yet to be launched car!

Most car sales are down this year in UK, Honda down from 21k in Sept 2007 to 12k this Sept; the only discount on thenew model so far is around £250 not much but nearly pays for 70% of the gold filled metallic paint that Honda use.
Do we think the new model Jazz when rolling off the Swindon lines in 2009 will be any cheaper - I doubt it.

I'll update the forum once we have tried the new Jazz late this week.

I notice on drivethedeal, they are offering over £1,400 off the old 1.4SE cvt model.

Although on closer examination, all they have done is erased the price rise in January 2008, and substituted the free 2 year servicing deal they were offering over the summer for equivalent discount.

I heard that the local dealer was going to be getting the new Jazz today so I phoned this morning and found the launch was going to be in a local hotel just outside town.

First impressions are favourable. Very well put together, nice finish and comfortable seats. We didn't have time to go for a test drive as we were on our lunch break but we will book one in the New Year when the i-Shift is out to see what that is like.
