Looking online iTyres.com on eBay have a set of four for less than 270£ delivered. I paid £296 for three fitted this week. I haven't used this seller before, feedback seems fairly good 98.9% with 35k feedback.

Well, it's a real company according to companies house. The director owns the fast fit that comes up on streetview, CTS, and they've been trading since 2015. So yeah, I'd be happy to use them.

Fitting can be the issue though. I know a lot of places round here charge north of £15 a corner. Worth factoring into your calculations?

I replaced my factory fitted Michelin Energery Saver+ with GoodYear EffecientGrip Performance about a month ago which where on offer at halfords for £85 a tyre fitted.  Plenty of thread left on the originals but perishing advisory on the MOT.  One thing I noticed with the new tyres is that my fuel efficiency is now alot better in urban driving and they do feel very "grippy".  Note my experience is with the 15" tyres, so YMMV on 16" rims.
