Having test-driven the Honda Jazz ‘Advance’ car 3 weeks ago, I placed an order and as you might expect, I was very excited about eventually owning one. I was given August as the expected delivery date.
Two weeks after my initial order and following a courtesy call from my dealership, I checked my paperwork again and realised that an ‘Elegance’ model had been ordered instead of an ‘Advanced’. Somewhat confused, I returned hotfoot to the dealership to make them aware of this embarrassing situation. I accept that it was partly my fault for not checking the papers properly at the outset but the young lady who had accompanied me on the test drive must have been aware that the model I had driven which included a satnav was the one I wanted especially as we had discussed the specification. Unfortunately, the original order had to be cancelled and a new order set up and now I have to wait until probably October (instead of August originally) for delivery. At least I am now getting a free set of mats as some recompense.
It seems that nowadays, illustrated brochures are not available in dealerships which did provide an opportunity to compare the details of different models. If such a brochure had been available I might have been more aware and familiar with the various model names and this error might not have happened.
