Android/infotainment worry
« on: January 23, 2020, 04:51:55 PM »
Hello all
I am thinking very seriously about buying a 2nd hand mk 3 Jazz. It's an SE Navi manual. However, I'm worried about what I have read as regards the infotainment system and the Android operating system being obsolete. Does anyone know what this means in terms of the car infotainment in the future? Will the system just stop working at some in determinant time in the future? I'm no expert on these things so I may be worrying for little or no reason, but...

Many thanks for you help in advance Jazz folks...

no the system will not stop working in the future, it is old but it is working. It look very much better if you change to the second skin. You can easy buy the car no need to be afraid it is a lovely car

Hi Poul, thanks for your thoughts. Could you explain the 2nd skin comment as I don't understand what you mean. Thanks

It's an alternative set of screen layouts, so it affects appearance rather than function.  I use the alternative "skin" because it offers an analogue clock which I prefer.  The only other bits of the system I use are the radio, and occasionally a dumb phone hands-free, so I can't comment on other functions.

Tons of space. Unbelievable how much room in such a small car.
