What other Honda models do you own or had in the past?
-
Poll amended to include any non-Jazz Honda you've owned past or present.

Coming back from overseas in 1983 I bought a new 1.6 Honda Accord Hondamatic.
This looked a bit like a Prelude in that it was a three door.
The Hondamatic transmission was interesting in that it only had two gears but two selections like Hi and Lo so if you used the selector you had four gears. I think it relied heavily on a very effective torque converter.
My next Honda was a Jazz bought in 2006 and I am on my fourth now.
Vic.

Does a Honda 50cc phut-phut count? ;D
-
My only other Honda's have been of the two wheeled type, of which I currently have two.
-
In 1997 I bought a 1993 2.0 Prelude in metallic black, rear spoiler and larger alloys. It was my first automatic and loved it. I took it with me when I first moved to Switzerland and sold it back in the UK after 4 trouble free years. It was not ideal having a rhd car here. I was then the unlucky owner of a Peugeot 306 and Renault Scenic - both terrible.

We have had plenty of Hondas over time. personally the 87 Civic and 89 Integra were owned by my brother.. I was too young at the time :D but at the moment my brothers own Citys of various generations (not in UK). The best of the lot has been the integra.. twin cam 16 valve hatchback and I still havent heard an engine sing like that..
* 1982 Honda Civic (just sold)
* 1987 Honda Civic (sold)
* 1989 Honda Civic
* 1989 Honda Integra EX16 (sold)
* 1990 Honda CD70 (bike)
* 2005 Honda City EX
* 2007 Honda City iDSI

Had 2 Civic type-R's and curretly on my 3rd.
Had on 03 plate ( CL7 ) 2.4 Type-S Accord.
Now still got my Civic Type-R for trackdays and the Jazz (2005 Facelift DSI-Sport ) for daily runaround.
-
Bought my first Honda in September 1987 - Mk1 CRX 16i-16v - and had Honda's ever since.
I always intended to own an NSX but a dodgy hip joint means I could never get in and out of one. :(
Before my GG6 Jazz I had a DC5 Integra Type R, imported from Japan. A truly superb car, which was more than the sum of its parts.
Such a pity that Honda no longer build cars like that anymore.
-
I had a modded Civic Type R (EP3) from 2002 - 2009 when i was told by wifey to change it to the Jazz due to starting a family.
I still miss my EP3 :'(

You missed off your list the original Honda CR/V which ran from 1997 0r '98 to 2002. I had a black one with the only engine available, which was a 23mpg petrol job. Hugely inefficient but lots of fun and masses of space inside.
It was so practical when the kids were little given the boxy shape and massive space. Between the front seats there was a huge empty space with a little fold down table thing. You could fold that down and crawl into the back to deal with a toddler and then get back in your seat, all without going outside.
The real problem with this car for me was the side hinged rear door, which was on the wrong side for the way my drive slopes, so I was constantly being crushed by the door and spare wheel swinging around onto me.
I skipped the second generation CR/V for a Freelander 1 (the most unreliable car I ever had), a Renault Laguna Sport Tourer (the most whacky car I ever had) and a Nissan X-Trail 2006 model (possibly the best car I ever had).
I got a 3rd generation CR/V in 2010 with the 2.2 diesel engine, and this car was a real winner, competing with my X-Trail as my best car ever.
-
I had a 1991 Legend, 3.2 litre. A really solid car with a double floor.
-
I have a modified Civic Type R M200 ;D
-
Three CRV's (plus an IZY lawnmower). Then we downsized (the car).
-
In the 80's I had a Honda 550 K4;

Wow. You had a Victor! Now that is impressive.

Got another track trackcar which is a EP3 Civic Type-R ( 2005 ) which I've had from new and use for trackdays.
My Honda fascination started in 2002 with my first EP3 CTR.
I've also Owned a CL9 2.4 Accord Type-S ( back in 2003-2005) which was a great car and very underated.
-
Started with a 250cc Honda Dream in 1966.
Upgraded to a Honda CB450 Black Bomber, once I'd passed my test.
In 1974, on leaving the RAF, I bought a used, 1972 Honda Civic Mk 1.
A series of company cars followed, giving me no real choice!
Last company car was 1988 Honda Accord 1.8 SE
2012 I bought my dream car, a 2003 Honda S2000. The most fun I've had in 50+ years of motoring!
Now running a 2011 Honda Jazz ES 1.4. (My family insisted I have something "sensible"!)
-
First Honda. Had a diesel Rover 200 for a few years, R8 model same as the Concerto, does that count?
After the Rover, there's a strange familiarity about some of the controls in the Jazz...
-
CB100N, CB400F and CB550 4K.

I've had a 2004 Civic, a 2007 Civic, a 2010 Jazz Mk 2 and now a 2013 Jazz Mk2. In between the 2 Civics I had a Golf 1.9 TDI - hideously unreliable although a nice car to drive.
I prefer the Jazz to the Civic but this is only because my body much prefers a high seating position. No problems with any of the cars apart from a leak into the boot on the first Jazz. All bought second hand.
If I had to do a lot of motorway work I am not sure I'd have a Jazz unless it was the new 1.5 Sport. I'm seriously tempted by that I must admit.

I had a 1985 Honda civic 1.3 DX then a astra 1.4 1994 due to its unreliability I then bought a honda jazz 2003 MK1 then 2007 MK1 jazz facelifted version.
Both jazzes suffered from abs modulator failure fortunately I had a warranty from Honda to cover the fault.
Present car is a honda civic 2.2

I had a 2000 CG125 learner bike, if I rode through town when pubs were kicking out, gangs of lads (who had presumably learned to ride on one of these) used to cheer me on, football chanting "CG! CG!" Was sad to let it go when I no longer needed it.

Actually not mine, but my wife has had 1st gen CR-V (not in the list) since 2011, first was model year -98 and current one -99 automatic with a/c. That's a really good car for Finnish countryside and winter. Just a bit thirsty.

There are still loads of those on the roads over here too. As you say, they are thirsty, but the 2.0 Vtec is bullet proof. Nice cars. :D
CRV in general seem to last very well indeed, although I have read that some of the latest 1.6 diesel have had a few issues.

Has anyone owned a Honda FRV? big brother to the CRV, the FRV was so wide, it had a 2-row 3 + 3 seating configuration, the three front seats were individual adult sized seats for the driver and two passengers ie not a bench seat. The Honda salesman steered me away from an FRV, "it has the fuel consumption of a bus"
Is this correct?
-
There’s a diesel 55 plate FRV near me, looks similar to the jazz, don’t see many about, no idea what they’re like to own…
-
My brother got an FRV when his kids were young and loved it. No problems at all in 8 years, it's why he suggested I think Honda. I think he averaged about 37 mpg. It certainly took a lot of stuff and had many trips towing a folding camper around the UK and to France. I drove it a few times. You had to rev it a bit and I think he wished he'd got the bigger engine (it was a 1.7) but it was smooth.
