My Jazz with 172,000 miles on the clock, last week I drove home from work, I was at the junction and slowly pulled out at about 2,600rpm the car juddered and horrible sound of metal rub, I paused at the junction and pushed the car off the road by someone who help me.
Yesterday the car was in the garage and they took my CVT off, and confirmed the metal belt is in pieces need another CVT gearbox because all inside parts are badly damaged! Now it is all sorted with used CVT very low mileage from Germany.
I was curious why it happened to me because I had done service regularly every 38,000 miles for the gearbox since purchased the car around 53,000 miles.
I don't know the answer is the belt soaked in fluid or is dry?
Any info is appreciated.
