« on: January 14, 2013, 12:48:15 PM »
good morning. I suspect this is old hat but I would really wecome a little help to sort out my wifes car. Drivers door lock is resisting key insersion. Lock I think is worn. other locks to date ok. How do I set about either renewing mending pins- thumbler ect so that the rest of the lcoks dont have to be changed. Thank you Bruce Milburn. milburn@nildram.co.uk

Is the key itself ok (not worn), ie: does it work 100% in the ignition and the boot, etc? A competent locksmith should be able to key alike a new barrel for the lock so you can retain the original keys.

In the old days you would just swop the passenger lock for the drivers side.
Not a 5 min job but still possible
