remote key???

hi all I'm new to this but can anyone help me trying to find out if my car is fitted with remote central locking, when I bought the car it only had 1 key so have just been using that but when I was pricing a spare  I was quoted for a remote (got quote using reg no and chassis no) but not sure if I have remote locking can anyone help???

Does the key that you have have buttons on it?
The two buttons have pictures of padlocks on them.
One is open and opens the doors,one is closed and closes the doors.

The dealer could look it up for you if you give him the VIN number. 

This will tell you what series it is and what was standard equipment
