Hi members i have got a problem with nearside rear brakes, it was binding tryed to move wheel  can not turn so clean out pads and carrier,wheel ok been out this morning for 10mile run came back touch wheel very hot  so i think it could be the caliper what is sizing any ideas dave

Definately the caliper, I have replaced three over the last two years, #4 seems to be ok for the time being.

Just check all the basics. Make sure the pads are not tight in the carrier, these calipers are very susceptible to scale building up behind the shims, make sure you scrape it off and you are back to clean metal before replacing the shims. Make sure the caliper guide pins move freely and are not siezed. Check the handbrake cable on that side, and make sure the brake lever pivot moves freely and is not siezing.

The only thing left is the piston bore, and your calipers are probably 14 years old, after all. That will mean a strip down and probably a reseal kit and new piston, but as you can get brand new replacement calipers for around 40-odd quid for these Jazzes, it's not really worth the effort.

Hi members thank you all those who replied to my topic .i now sorted it was a caliper that was at faulty replace it with a new one now ok again thank you dave
