scraped rear edge driver's side door
« on: September 21, 2018, 07:41:21 PM »
On opening my door in a tight place close to a wall,my door edge suffered a 5mm.long  contact scrape against the wall of the adjacent building.
This has left a slightly roughened surface thro' to an aluminium coloured under layer.
What would be the best way to coat this narrow line of paint loss?
I'd appreciate advice on my best way to protect the place.
Thanks.

I have a little pot of touch-up paint for such occasions https://www.coxmotorparts.co.uk/honda-parts/paints/ (you might find it cheaper elsewhere).

I have a pound shop gardening kneeling pad attached to my garage wall as a door protector.

I have a plastic edge fitted to my driver's door. I take it off every time I wash the car, except in the winter, when I fill it with Vaseline!
