Cancel speed alarm settings 2017 Jazz
« on: November 19, 2023, 02:58:47 PM »
Hi All,
I have tried in vain to cancel the the 30 mph and 50 mph warning on my 2017 Jazz 1.3 manual. I manage somehow to return to the main menu but at top left of the display in any menu there is "LIM" still displayed, despite the fact that white diagonal lines were shown on the 30 and 50mph. As "LIM" is still showing, does this mean that the speed alarms are still on? This is all very trying. Could some kind person tell me what I am doing wrong, and elaborate on the whole process. Have photo but it wont attach(too big)

Best wishes Mike

LIM is nothing to do with speed alarm, that is one of the functions of cruise control. Pressing the LIM button will change from cruise control to speed limiter or traffic sign speed limiter.

As Steve_M says, the LIM indication is nothing to do with the speed alarm, it just shows that the speed limiter is ready to be set (it won't actually function unless you then press the Set button on the right side of the steering wheel). If you don't want to use cruise control or either of the two speed limiters, press the Main button on the right side of the steering wheel, that'll turn the system off. Full instructions p414 et seq in the online manual*.

The speed alarm is different, it just sounds an audible warning and flashes a message when you exceed whatever speeds have been set. I have mine set to 30 & 70, it's quite useful for keeping your attention focused out the window rather than watching the instruments. Full instructions on how to set/disable it are at p127=128 of the online manual*.

*Page numbers might be slightly different in a hard copy manual.

it is in the settings on the round screen with the tire sensors and service reset etc just scroll through and you will find it

use the up and down buttons on the right lower side of the steering wheel to select settings

I have alarms set to 240 km/h, which means it'll never disturbe anyone.
