2008-2013 jazz changes
« on: September 08, 2013, 10:01:50 PM »
Hello

I'm new to the forum, we had a 2006 Jazz and now have a new one Sept 2013
What's the differences on the 2008 to our current one as I thought they were the same 2008 onwards. Anyone know please?

The Jazz had a minor face lift including a  new shape rear bumper, I think this was in 2011. Prior to the face lift the ES did not have climate control but had air conditioning. Other  changes included adding the usb port, removing flaps between the parcel shelf and the rear seat also reclining position on the rear seat catches. There were probably other spec changes made but I do not remember what those were. My 2009 Jazz ES had Goodyear Tyres whilst the 2012 ES produced car has Michelin Tyres. The seat material has also been changed the new material seems to be easier to keep clean.

In 2008 and early 2009 Jazz cars supplied for the UK market were made in Japan but from about Sept 2009 production started at Swindon. Current UK supplied Jazz are made in Swindon but the next Jazz model will be made in the Far East.

Greater fuel efficiency. softer suspension, CVT with torque convertor, looks like redesigned rear disks.
