« Last post by embee on Today at 05:37:40 PM »I've been struggling to find official info for new rates, but at last found a third party article here
https://www.petebarden.co.uk/news/articles/how-much-is-road-tax-going-up-1-april-2022.html
(ignore the link title saying 2022, the article is for 2023/4)

« Last post by jazzaro on Today at 05:03:42 PM »Thanks all. Bought Bosch equivalents from a local factor. Just need to get an extra long 14mm spark plug spanner. Hey ho ...Bosch?
Can you kindly write the product code?
Following the italian bosch part catalogue, they do not have spark plugs for the L13B2.

Off Topic (Non-Honda) / UK road tax (VED)
« Last post by embee on Today at 02:38:33 PM »Only applies to UK folk ....
The VED rates are due to go up as from 1st April.
HOWEVER, if your vehicle is insured/MOTd and legal then you can tax it from 1st April today or tomorrow at the old rates.
Remember that it's not legal to take it on the road until the VED is valid.
When doing it online you have to specify whether the VED is to run from 01/03 or 01/04, make sure you select 01/04 April otherwise you will be paying a full month's VED for one or two days use.
If you are renewing a current VED you can do it up to a couple of weeks in advance, but if it is not already taxed (i.e. SORN) then you get just a couple of days allowance to do it in advance. Car rates are going up around 10%. I've just done a car and 3 bikes which have all been SORN over winter, if I waited until 1st April it would have cost me nearly £50 more.

Honda Jazz Mk4 2020 - / Re: Incompatible usb message for music
« Last post by nowster on Today at 02:26:26 PM »The ancient version of Android used on the dashboard probably doesn't have support for anything other than FAT32 (and possibly Linux ext2). ExFAT filesystem drivers only became freely¹ available a few years ago.
This is why the Garmin map update instructions specify a USB stick of no more than 16GB. Anything 32GB or larger might be formatted ExFAT or NTFS.
____
¹ Free as in Open Source "free".

Off Topic (Non-Honda) / Learning to drive in New York.
« Last post by Jocko on Today at 11:20:52 AM »I watch Ashley Neal's videos on YouTube. He is a UK ADI who posts educational videos for drivers (you can never stop learning).
The video I found last night is the first of two in NY where he goes out with a local driving school to see how they do it over there. So many things they do differently from here. Instead of Mirror, Signal, Manoeuvre they do Signal, Mirror, Manoeuvre. They also turn the wheel with the car stationary instead of creeping first.
The car he is in is automatic and at lights etc, he is taught to remain in drive, foot on the brake and no handbrake!
The entire city of New York has a 25 mph blanket speed limit (20 mph passing schools). This is not just in the busy parts of the city.
I found the video very interesting and I have posted a link below. I cannot wait for him to post Part 2 (change that. Part 2 has just gone up as I type).

Honda Jazz Mk1 2002-2008 / Re: Aircon still failing
« Last post by VicW on Today at 11:09:05 AM »What is the outside air temperature when the aircon doesn't work? It will not work at temperatures below about +4C, this is to protect the heat exchanger under the dashboard from icing up.
