forte engine treatment?
« on: March 04, 2012, 09:58:30 AM »
Hi all.
Just been reading through some previous service reports on my recently acquired jazz and came across tow reports which stated an oil and filter change plus forte oil and engine addative. Is it nessasary to add this per oil change?
Also noticed they only changed 4 spark plugs :o

If they used the correct oil then the Forte should not be needed.

I think that the rear spark plugs on the GD Jazz are frequently ignored by mechanics during services, because even if they are aware that the I-DSi engine has 8 plugs they do take a bit of time to change -  and how many customers will bother to check if they have been changed anyway?
Some people will only consider you an expert if they agree with your point of view or advice,  when you give them advice they don't like they consider you an idiot

That is so true mate. How many elderly jazz owners actually check their cars themselves? I could set up a garage and call my self a Honda jazz specialist and rip of loads of them.
But honesty is my middle name...
I am gonna do an oil change and stick  some mobile one in and no additive...
