Looking to buy a 1.4SE any help?

I've been to look at a low miles 08 1.4 SE.
A few questions;
The seats are showing what I consider to be excess wear along with gear lever and drivers interior door panel grab is this normal or just signs of abuse.
Only the passenger seat has an elasticated pocket on the back.
Does the in-car computer only show average mpg.
Surprised to see no temperature gauge, are all models the same, always like advance information of problems.

I can't answer the first one, but only the Sport & SE Sport has a pocket in the back of the drivers seat.

Yes the computer shows only the average mpg and it is not accurate.

I thought all models had a temperature gauge?

Nope, neither my GD nor the GE have one! There are hot/cold warning lights though!

Another thing if the battery has been disconnected would the speedo trip and mpg display clear to zero?
