My 19 plate EX still has the paddles to change gear, in my case with the CVT, to change the ‘simulated’ gears.
One of my regular trips has a 1 in 6 hill and the paddles are particularly useful, dropping down 2 or 3 steps to provide engine braking. The revs rise to around 3500, but hold the car back well.
Can anyone tell me what the ‘engine braking’ is like on the Mk4 Jazz / Crosstar in ‘B’ mode, on a similar hill, do you need to apply the brakes as well?
