Rear Hatch decor strip/panel
« on: February 24, 2022, 09:15:28 AM »
Hi there,

Just got our Jazz and the black plastic strip with the Honda H on the hatch is cracked at one end.

Seem to be £150 new, anyone got a used one or know where to get one?

Also thought about wrapping it in adhesive film, either black or carbon fibre effect.

Is it easy to remove?

Thanks

You could try  Automotive vinyl wrap .  You may be able to buy small off cuts on ebay etc.

The correct stuff is only semi tacky  and stretches to fit curves. Only problem is its thin so the crack might still show through unless you glue it firm and  smooth it off. .Should be easy enough to remove.

Beware of  cheapo stuff that may be little more than 'fablon' type sticky back plastic.

Yes you always need to use something quality like 3M film.

The previous owner glued it back together and it seems sound enough, just some film would cover the crack and glue.
