Jazz 2002-2008 inertia switch
« on: November 24, 2021, 10:21:03 AM »
Dear members,

Please let me know where the inertia switch is located on Honda Jazz 2002. I have just bumped in the car and car won’t start starter working.

The inertia switch is located behind the trim on the left-hand side of the vehicle, forward of the front door post, below the fascia. A finger access hole in the trim allows the driver to reset the switch.

Found this, I hope it's right for your vehicle.

According to the handbook, the fuel cut off switch where fitted:

There is a fuel cutoff switch behind
the dashboard on the passenger’s
door side.
To locate the switch, remove the
dashboard cover first, then take off
the side kick panel. Extend your arm
through the removed side kick panel.
In a collision or sudden impact, this
switch automatically cuts off the fuel
supply to the engine.
After the switch has activated, it
must be reset by pressing the button
before the engine can be restarted.

However the manual has a picture of a LHD car so if you don't find it on the passenger side, check the driver's side.
