Changing rear silencer.
« on: September 29, 2021, 09:49:57 PM »
Hi all.

Need a little help to get my head around.
So I'm thinking to cut off rear silencer and replace with smtn like
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornet-Exhaust-Adaptable-Sports-Backbox-3-Round-Stainless-Steel-Tailpipe-/121580274514?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
Because original exhaust is resonated would this affect performance in bad way!?
Would that give deeper lower tone!?
And would it be easy to swap without welding!?
Cheers

I shouldn't think our engines are tuned enough to be affected much by the exhaust.

As for fitting I haven't a clue. Have you seen the fitfreaks website - much more info on modding a Jazz, or Fit as it's known in many countries.
"Indecision is a terrible thing"
Or is it? What do you think?

Oh great, more unnecessary noise on our roads!

Why?
Maybe give your Jazz full tank of SUL + dose of redex.

I don't think it will get that loud!

Well there are reports on this site that not resonated exhausts on jazz takes the response quite a lot.
