Title: Honda Fit insurance
Post by: Shamz on August 05, 2022, 04:47:03 PM
Dear memebrs,

I have recently purchased Honda Fit hybrid 2011 imported car in UK. Log book has it as Honda Jazz. I am trying ti insure it but reg number does not pull the details automatically. And Fit is not listed as Honda model when selecting manually. I guess I will insure it as Jazz Hybrid?
How do I find out trim as it asks to select the trim and wont proceed without it. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks

Parkers have the HX version listed.

May take some homework to find the HE and HS versions for specs.

You'll get more information from the VIN number.
https://www.vindecoderz.com/EN/Honda/FIT
but I doubt if it will shed much light on identifying the trim which probably has different designations in different countries.
Perhaps you could get more information by contacting Honda or the insurance companies directly rather than on internet application forms.

I have already tried to look up using VIN and also looked at Parkers website but no luck. No worries, I will contact the insurance company directly. Thanks

Fit classed as import, so may be more £'s. Hunt down as deal via specialists as mentioned + LV & Direct  Line, good luck with your Fit - don't forget to check the. Cabin filter behind the larger glove box, often missed during a service.

I've got a Honda Fit 1.3l, thats also registered as a Jazz by the DVLA.  I phoned up the insurance company to swap it over.  As it is officially registered as a JAzz by the DVLA they were happy to insure it as a Jazz, but they were told that it was an import.  Insurance was the same price as my old UK Jazz.
