any other white mk3 owners noticed this uv yellowing under the top rubber seal on the top of the windscreen?
about 4 inches long on the drivers side and just about coming in on the passenger side faintly about the same length and white in the middle
i dont want it getting any worse to the point of paint fail and rust around the windscreen and polish isnt getting it off
i wouldnt have thought uv would effect under the rubber seals

Probably just the effect of the rubber sitting against the paint for years.
I wouldn't think it's a problem.

Could it be algae? I have some in some nooks and crannies on my Toyota.

>:(I've got the same problem on rear door , believe it was cause by rain, go through the small read side mirror year and year.
I tried to remove them by handle it to a car beauty shop but didn't work. and said the yellow colour had ate into the paint.
it's the fate of white car, probably... :(

it seems stopped.
I clean it every time when washing now :D
you may use a brush cleaning up all gaps when car washing. try not sun bathing the car (if possible, get a car cover). The sun will speed up oxidation the colour.
visiting car beauty shop always not an option to me, but they have tools that save my time. I own this GK 6 years. it's good time for a deep clean.

Is this another difference between Japan spec cars and UK? I just walk away from the car and it beeps, folds in the mirrors and locks. To unlock it all I have to do is grab a front door handle or push the hatch release. There is a rubber button on the front doors but I never use them.
