Hi members i see D,V.L.A has put the price of road tax  up a gain for Jazz last year £135.00 this year £140.00. they just put it up when they feel like it .they are taking the piss dave   >:(

Yes, same here, another fiver lifted.

I hear that the next wheeze is going to be the return of annual fuel duty rises.

It's a consequence of having very low tax for the nominally low emissions vehicles (many of which give worse real life emissions than the more highly taxed vehicles). Gov't was very slow to publicly realise that the manufacturers were gaming the system.

I paid mine this month. Up a fiver, to £120.

Still a lot cheaper than a standard old car at £220, and there was a Chrisler for sale along the road that didn't sell for nearly a year; if I remember correctly when I looked at the car tax it was £500; guess that's why it didn't sell.
I think we get it pretty cheap really; pity they don't spend all the car tax money on the roads.

Hybrid tax still £10 . . . . I'll just leave that there  :D
