exhaust gasket

Hi all
i fitted a new exhaust not long ago the gasket just after the cat is blowing would anybody know if i can use a 3 pin gasket instead of the ring gasket that's fitted

I had trouble finding the correct gasket, certainly the triangular version you show would be fine, but on mine it didn't quite fit the holes and tore when I tried to fit it.

Ended up cutting a thin copper one to fit the flange, and with a smear of exhaust paste on the surfaces that worked fine.
